Some chains are worn. This one is carried. The Chaîne Cubaine is built from flat Cuban curb links in 925 Italian sterling silver — each one beveled at the edges and finished with alternating matte and mirror-polish facets that shift with every movement of the body. At 33.5 grams across 51 centimetres, it has the kind of physical weight that settles against the chest with authority: not aggressive, but entirely unambiguous. The Cuban link has its origins in the workshops of Italian jewellers long before it was adopted by street culture; in this form, in sterling silver, it returns to that lineage with full conviction. It sits open at the collar of a thobe or rests against a plain white linen shirt with equal composure. Width 7 mm.
